So it’s been a bit busy with going back to work and I’ve not had the chance until now to share Neal’s new hobby…and lets face it I think we’ve all given up on Neal blogging!
He loved in-line skating! There was a small track on board and after my badgering we finally got round using it on the last day and surprisingly Neal really enjoyed it. So much so that he bought a pair of skates the day after we got home.
Silke you don’t have too much to worry about yet, I’ve never been any good at stopping, at least while going downhill and neither is Neal so we’re sticking to flat paths where possible and not going very fast!
I have managed 3 runs now – 4 miles last week, 3 on Friday and 5 on Saturday which was really hard! It felt like 20 and like there is just an insurmountable mountain to climb to get anywhere near any previous pace, never mind faster and/or longer. Still watching the Great Scottish Run has given me some inspiration and motivation; I just don’t think I have any voice left for my primary 2′s tomorrow after 3 1/2 hours of screaming and shouting! Well done to everyone especially Katrina and Silke and the fab Kilbarchan performances!
