I had arranged to meet Miss Pump this morning to go for a run before Body Pump. I am so glad I did as there is no way I would have gone out otherwise and she said she was the same. I had no idea how my legs would feel and when I first woke up my whole body felt sore. That quickly eased off though and I was only left with sore ankles and hips which was probably from the different terrain yesterday.
Miss Pump was doing a tempo run and I knew I would not be able to keep up but we ran the first mile together which got me going and then I said to her just to go at her pace and I would keep up if I could. I couldn’t! When I tried to go faster my legs would just not let me but bar the third mile I was quite happy with my splits.
We then did Body Pump, lunges were really hard, and then took Mrs Crazyboy out for a couple of miles. I think she did great considering baby Crazyboy is only 5 months old. She is determined she is going to do the 10km in September, although she is worried about it. I am sure she will be fine, she has loads of time. It was quite good to do a cool down like that.
